Have some side hustle money finally coming in? Congratulations! It’s pretty fun seeing that bank account stack up with cash, isn’t it?
Then the ideas start coming in… after all, that new BMW looks nice. So does the steak dinner. Oh, and I’ll take some new clothes. Perhaps a nice watch could be fun.
I’m not here to tell you that’s wrong – it’s half the reason we start side hustles, right?
I’m not here to tell you that’s wrong – it’s half the reason we start side hustles, right?
But I will say there is an order to spending money if you want your side hustle to keep growing.
With that in mind, here are The 3 Things You Need to Grow Your Side Hustle.

#1 Boost Productivity with a Setup that Resonates with You

Every day I walk into my workspace, I get amped. I see my Lamborghini desk, Lamborghini Chair, Diecast Lamborghini Huracan Performante (notice a theme?), two 28in large, curved monitors, and big whiteboard that tells me what to do today.
The whole setup cost me well over $3,000, but you know what? I walk into my office every day and I crush because of it.
Seeing the Lamborghini logo and then sitting in my $800 Lamborghini Chair demonstrates to me every day that if I keep at it, someday that $800 Lamborghini desk chair will be a real Lamborghini chair.
And you know what else? Having my own space separates my side hustle work from my “real work.” At real work, my desk isn’t “mine” – it is a rental at best. Someone will fill that chair within two weeks after my departure.
At home, my work space isn’t a rental. It is mine. I own it. And I love it.
Which work space do you think leads to more productivity? I’ll give you one guess.
#2 Remove Distractions by Buying a Side Hustle Laptop

If you picked a side hustle from my list of best side hustles, consider buying a side hustle laptop.
Why split work with play? Because it matters.
Your current laptop is probably logged into Netflix. Maybe it has some games downloaded on it. Perhaps personal emails, other random software… all of it doesn’t matter, but it does distract. And distraction kills side hustles.
If you want to get a side hustle to grow, you need to be serious like you are at work. Get a dedicated side hustle laptop and treat it as such.
Avoid adding Netflix, your personal email, or anything else that doesn’t fit into your side hustle. Even better, change the passwords to something so complex so you can’t even be tempted to login.
You’ll be amazed what you can do without these distractions.
#3 Save Time through Building a Personal Library

If you are going to get good at anything, you need experience. It’s not just something you want – it’s something you need.
Unfortunately, experience takes a ton of time to acquire – usually through failure. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like it sucks.
But that is the truth.
Think about it, how many business mistakes will you make in the future? Hundreds? Thousands? If you expect to stay in business for a long time, probably many thousands, right?
Mistakes are inevitable.
But what if you could go back in time and correct a mistake before it happens?
That’s what books are. They are messages from someone else’s past to you so you can avoid the same pitfalls they went through.
And their ROI? Absolutely insane.
Think about it. What if a $15 book taught you one tip on how to handle gatekeepers in cold calling. In 1,000 cold calls, that tip pushes you through to the decision maker 50 times and result in 2 recurring sales of $1,000/mo.
$15 in… $23,985 out.
In fairness, you probably would have learned how to get around gatekeepers eventually. But after how many more calls? 2,000? 5,000? If it was 1,000 calls, that’s $23,985 in lost value. 5,000 calls is over $100,000 in lost opportunity.
Pretty sure you don’t want to make those mistakes.
Buy the books. Don’t just read them – study them like you were supposed to in high school (markers, notes, etc.) and apply their learnings.
It will be worth it. I promise you that.
